Upstate Information Hub

After the unveiling of the Our Upstate Vision, which was created through the involvement of more than 10,000 Upstate residents, in April 2011, Ten at the Top developed five Task Forces designed to identify issues and opportunities for regional collaboration in areas of interest identified in the vision.

The first thing that came up in almost every meeting was the difficulty in finding information about programs, initiatives, services and events that already exist across the region.

It was decided that if we could figure out a way to harness that information into one place (an online portal), it would serve as a valuable tool for residents across the Upstate.

Thanks to an initial funding grant from the Graham Foundation, the Upstate Information Hub has been created to serve as that "one stop shop" where residents can go to find events, services, programs and other information they are looking for across the Upstate.

There is a plethora of information and resources available on the internet for Upstate residents who are looking for everything from how to start or grow a business, to how to develop sustainable landscaping to what family activities are happening on the weekend. However, until now these local resources have never been compiled into an easily searchable format that provides residents from all 10 counties of the region with an easy way to access this information.

The Information Hub is designed to serve as a portal to get you to the information you are looking for in an easy and timely manner. The material referenced on the site has been compiled through internet data searches. The site will continually be updated to create a comprehensive online data resource for Upstate residents.

Ongoing development and maintenance of the Upstate Information Hub is a joint effort of Ten at the Top and the Our Upstate-SC Vision.  While the initial Graham Foundation contribution provided for development of the site, there are still opportunities for supporting the ongoing maintenance and administration of the Information Hub.
