Easter Egg Hunts Around the Upstate

The flowers are blooming, and the birds are singing the Upstate moves towards Easter weekend. After one of the coldest winter anyone can remember, most of us are looking to get outside with the family this weekend, and luckily, options abound throughout our region, with Easter egg hunts for the kids that offer much more than just a few plastic eggs with candy ins

Billing itself as the Upstate's largest Easter egg hunt, Tyger River Park in Duncan will play host to the Spartanburg County Parks Department's annual Easter Egg Scramble. Around 1,500 children are expected to attend, gathering the 15,000 eggs placed around the facility. Children are divided into four age groups: toddlers to 3-year-olds, 4-5-year-olds, 6-7-year-olds, and 8-10 year olds. With more than enough to go around, each child is guaranteed to come away with something, but for a luck few who find "prize eggs" a special gift awaits. The event is being held April 15th  from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. For more visit: http://spartanburgparks.org/easter-egg-scramble/

In Greenville, the Children's Museum of the Upstate is hosting a "Bunny Brunch" on April 8th at 8:30 a.m., a unique event where children will have the opportunity to create spring-themed art projects, enjoy tasty treats, and participate in the museum's egg hunt. Advanced registration is required, and tickets are $10 for museum members, $19 for non-member children, and $20 for non-member adults.
