Upstate vineyard offers taste of European countryside

Why is Europe known for its world-class wines? What makes the environment so unique there? The perfect elevation, rich soil, a deep passion for wines, and a lot of hard work allow for such perfect flavor. A gorgeous mountain backdrop doesn't hurt either.

The Jayne family has captured the essence of European wines thanks to the elevation in the Appalachian foothills. The family grows a variety of grapes to produce their fine Vinifera wines. These wines include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc.

The vineyards share 47 acres with a French-style chateau that houses the winery, deli, and gift shop. Here you may enjoy lunch on the terrace overlooking acres of grapes with rising mountains as a backdrop. The Jayne family's wines are available by the glass or bottle to accompany your lunch or light appetizers. Each person who serves at the cafe has a strong knowledge of the wines and perfect pairings.

In addition to their regular offerings, Victoria Valley Vineyards hosts special events, including weddings and live music at the terrace. For more information about Victoria Valley Vineyards, visit
