BMW Charity Pro Am

Description

The BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation is a week of golf, celebrities, parties and pros offering spectator tickets, amateur playing spots, sponsorships and more.

It is the only tournament on the Nationwide Tour where amateurs and celebrities are grouped with Nationwide Tour professionals in a four-day better-ball competition over three courses. The 2012 tournament will take place May 16-19 at Thornblade Club (Greer, SC), The Carolina Country Club (Spartanburg, SC) and The Reserve at Lake Keowee (Sunset, SC).

Amateurs, celebrities and pros rotate between three courses on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the 14 lowest scoring pro-amateur/pro-celebrity teams advancing to play Sunday's final round at Thornblade Club. Celebrities play once at each course on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Professional winner of the overall 72-hole event will take home $108,000 from the total purse of $600,000. Amateurs and celebrities compete for individual prizes and cash donations to the charity of their choice out of the beneficiaries selected by South Carolina Charities, Inc.

Past celebrities include Kevin Costner, Kurt Russell, Catherine Bell, Joe Pesci, Luke Wilson, Dennis Quaid, John Elway, Wayne Gretzky, George Lopez and Gary Player, among many others. Celebrities play once at each course. The 2012 celebrity lineup will be announced in April.

Iron City Ministries Golf Tournament

A Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 to raise funds for Iron City Ministries. All money raised will be used to help our clients with bills and groceries. The entry fee is $50 per person/$200 per teams of 4. Tee time is 8 am and lunch will be provided. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team, closest to the pin, and longest drive. Get ready for Rally in the Valley on May 18th, 2013! The Rally is Oconee Forever's annual event to celebrate and raise awareness for conservation in Oconee County, South Carolina.

Rally features scenic cycling through beautiful Blue Ridge mountain valleys and will offer both a 30 Mile and 60 Mile route in 2013. This is truly a stellar ride!

Regardless of whether you choose to hop on your bike or not, every Attendee at the Rally recieves a wonderful barbeque meal, live music and cold craft beer to enjoy (okay, adults only on the beer). This is a family friendly event, and all children younger than 12 are free to attend with parent. We also anticipate local vendors and craftsman to showcase local goods.

This year's event and ride center will be located at beautiful Calyx Farms, an outdoor event site featuring expansive views of the Blue Ridge mountains off Scenic Highway 11 in Oconee County, SC.
